Joyful Tag for Writers

I was tagged again! Just so you know, if anybody ever tags me and I forget to do it, it’s because I can be a mental baked potato, so please— no offense.
For a baked potato, I think I’m doing okay.
Now for the good stuff.

Actually… wait. Rules come first. Rule number one: Acknowledge who tagged you for this.
Thank you, Hannah Gaudette, for the lovely tag.

Rule number two: Tag at least two people in return. Sarah at the Sarcastic Elf and Rolena Hatfield at The Author’s Attic.

Rule number three: Post these three rules when you do the tag. 😛

Now for the questions.

1. WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF ANY THREE OF YOUR CHARACTERS WERE PUT IN A ROOM TOGETHER FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME?

Oh wow. Most… okay, actually, all of my characters are what you might call… er… a little bit tightly strung. They get that from their mother (me). So putting three of them in a room together for an extended period of time… whew. It’s anyone’s guess how many of them would make it out with their sanity intact. Or even alive. 😛

2. IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE A THEME SONG TO REPRESENT YOUR CURRENT WIP, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Wha…?? Cruel question… oh dear. This is tough.
Okay. The closest I can come is Andrew Peterson’s You’ll Find Your Way. The themes are spot on, at least.

3. IF YOU COULD TRAVEL TO ANY FICTIONAL UNIVERSE, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY?

Well I was gonna say mine, but considering everyone there probably wants to kill me… I’ll be old fashioned and say Middle Earth. Because why not.

4. IF YOU WERE STRANDED ON ANOTHER PLANET WITH ONE OF YOUR CHARACTERS, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?

Well, I would want it to be my super brave, steady, and responsible king, who was also my first protagonist and so technically my firstborn and actually my favorite (shhhh don’t tell anyone), because if anyone could get us back home with minimal damage it would be him.
But with my luck, I’d end up with the petty, spoiled, whiny crown-prince of the next nation over, which would leave the surviving bit entirely up to me, and so we’d probably both die.

5. IF YOU WERE STRANDED ON ANOTHER PLANET WITH ANOTHER FICTIONAL CHARACTER – NOT ONE OF YOURS – WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?

*peeks between fingers* Can… can I pick one from an unpublished book? What?? No???
*sigh*
Fine… okay, Faramir from The Lord of the Rings. Because he’s pretty good at survival stuff, not to mention an all around lovely person. Despite his upbringing. *glares at a certain wretched father*

6. WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE GENRE TO WRITE IN AND WHY?

Of the ones that I’ve actually written, historical fiction. Too much research. My one writing asset is my wild imagination, and there’s so little room for that in historical fiction. It just didn’t work for me.

7. IF YOU HAD TO LIVE OUT THE ROLE OF A FICTIONAL CHARACTER, WHO WOULD IT BE?

Uhhhh… um. *bites lips* I plead the fifth amendment.

8. WHAT IS ONE THING PEOPLE MUST KNOW ABOUT YOU?

Never underestimate me. I look like a shy awkward little muffin on the outside and if you talk to me unexpectedly there’s a one hundred and three percent chance I’ll stutter and trip over my own words, but please don’t give up on me— I want to be your friend. I really do. It might just take us a while to get there. 😛

For those of you who didn’t get tagged but still love these *coughs* very kind and thoughtful questions, tell me about it in the comments! What would be the theme song for your WIP? What’s the one thing people absolutely MUST know about you?

  1. Ooh, cool tag! Let’s see… a song to describe one of my current WIPs is Moonlight by Grace Vanderwaal. That story is called The Broken Me Inside, and it’s going to be awesome… probably… Something people absolutely need to know about me is that I have layers of friendship and personality, and even though the outer layers of me might be quiet and gently and (surprisingly) sarcastic, if you get to my heart I’m nerdy, loud, and a major fangirl. I’m still sarcastic, though. *big surprise*

      1. Yesss! *fistpump* I thought you might be. 😀 That’s one of my favorite types, and ironically enough almost all the INTJs I know are women. I think I know at least seven right off the top of my head. 😛

      2. *highfives you* INTJ-ness is awesome. I know many INTJs other than myself, but sadly none of them I know in person.

      1. I NEED THIS
Now I have all these crazy ideas of writing authors into their books. Or in scenarios with their characters.
        The possibilities here need exploring.
Also the tag was lovely. 😀
